Presbyterian Women is an organization which provides opportunities for service through the Circles, Presbyterian Women’s Fellowship, and Love-In-Deed Day.
Circles
The Circles (1 weekly and 1 monthly circle), are small groups which meet for:
- Bible study
- Fellowship
- Other opportunities for service.
Phoebe’s Friends meets weekly during the spring and fall semesters, Monday mornings from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Martha Circle meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Minter Room.
General Meetings
Presbyterian Women’s General Meetings offer a variety of programs for spiritual growth, community and mission awareness.
Periodically, we speak about missions we aid through PW including Buffalo Gap Ministries, Hope Haven, Medical Care Mission, Menaul School, Navajo Presbyterian Church in Leupp, Arizona, and Presbyterian Border Ministries.
Offerings
First Central Presbyterian women participate with Presbyterian Women throughout the world in three special offerings:
- Thank Offering
- Birthday Offering
- Least Coin Offering
Outreach
PW participates in helping our church family by being:
- hostess for special events/celebrations
- decorating the church for special seasons
- serving meals to families in times of illness, birth and grief
- project managers for FCPC’s Meditation Garden
PW is women joining together to do what women seem to do best — respond to the call of God. By virtue of being a female member of FCPC you are a Presbyterian Woman! Join us for our events and circles as we give thanks and learn of the wonderful mission work being done by the PC(USA) around the world and how the generous support of Presbyterian Women is making a difference!
